Dr. Sawisch is originally from Michigan, where he completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry, followed by a four-year surgical residency program at University of Miami School of Medicine’s prestigious Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Sawisch’s training focused on head and neck cancer, oral pathology, and reconstruction of severe facial deformities secondary to disease and facial trauma. After his residency, he completed a fellowship program in Facial Cosmetic Surgery at the Willow Bend Cosmetic Surgery Center in Plano, Texas. 

Today, Dr. Sawisch specializes in removing teeth and implant dentistry and has been featured in live seminars and on television for his pioneering use of growth factors and stem cells with advanced bone grafting procedures to aid in dental implant reconstruction. He has also emerged as one of the leading experts in his field in the use of lasers and has published articles on cosmetic skin resurfacing and several chapters in various laser dentistry and dental implant textbooks. Dr. Sawisch’s cutting-edge techniques using lasers, stem cells, and growth factors also play a role in his facial cosmetic practice, where he employs them to enhance patients’ surgical results, in addition to offering non-surgical enhancements such as Botox and injectable fillers.
